12 Tourist Destinations Ha Giang Vietnam
1. Lung Cu Flagpole
2km from the northernmost point of our country, Lung Cu Flagpole is located at an altitude of 1,470m and is considered a symbol. The National Flagpole is a must-see tourist destination in Ha Giang that everyone must visit.
If you stand at the foot of Lung Cu Flagpole, you will see the flag fluttering, not only having visual significance, but also the pride and affection of 54 ethnic groups across the country, expressed through the 54m width of the flag.
2. Milestone 0 Ha Giang
Located right in the center of Ha Giang City, on Nguyen Trai Street right next to the Lo River, Milestone 0km is the starting point of National Highway 2, connecting Ha Giang City with the capital Hanoi.
Coming to the 0km milestone, everyone must definitely stop to check-in. It is not too big or massive in appearance, but the meaning it leaves behind is by no means trivial – marking the experience and conquest, a milestone of the whole of Vietnam or a milestone in each person.
3. Ma Pi Leng Pass
Ma Pi Leng in the local language means “horse’s nose” meaning that this is a high and steep pass, worthy of being one of the “four great mountain passes” in Vietnam. Ma Pi Leng peak is located at an altitude of 1,200m with a length of about 20km, which will be a special and interesting experience that you will hardly forget.
From the top of Ma Pi Leng, we can see the grandeur and danger of the natural landscape, on one side is a high, vertical cliff, on the other side is a deep abyss with the enchanting blue Nho Que river.
4. Deputy Board
Known as a small town in Dong Van, Pho Bang is also one of the tourist destinations in Ha Giang that many people pay attention to. By taking a little time, overcoming the winding slopes with the buckwheat flower strips, you can immediately reach Pho Bang.
For those who love peace and quiet, Pho Bang will be an extremely suitable place. Hidden in the majestic high mountains, it is likened to a forgotten town, because life here is very quiet, simple, with wild and charming natural beauty.
5. Fairy Twin Mountains
The masterpiece of Ha Giang nature – Fairy Twin Mountains (or Quan Ba Twin Mountains) possesses an unbelievable beauty, people say that this is the peach hill of a fairy. But behind that is a whole story, an interesting legend.

6. Vuong family mansion
Located in the middle of Sa Phin valley, nearly 100 years old, built in 9 years, the Meo King’s mansion was the residence of Vuong Chinh Duc (1865 – 1947) – a person revered and loved for his diligence and overcoming difficulties.
The entire project has an area of nearly 3000m2, with the characteristics of 3 cultural architectures: Chinese, French and Mong. In addition to visiting the architecture and learning about the culture, the Vuong family mansion is also a great Ha Giang tourist destination, a perfect virtual check-in location.
7. The Valley of Love
Sung La Valley is located in the Dong Van stone plateau, and can be considered the most beautiful commune here. It is called by many different names such as: “oasis“, “valley where rocks bloom” or “brilliant flower of the stone plateau” because if viewed from a high pass, Sung La appears like a peaceful, colorful picture that leaves many impressions in everyone’s heart.
With a high ethnic population, mainly 3 ethnic groups: Lo Lo, Han and Mong, life here also has many surprises in terms of lifestyle, traditional activities such as folk songs, typical musical instruments.
8. Nho Que River
Originating from Yunnan (China), it flows in the Northwest – Southeast direction to Ha Giang, Cao Bang. Looking down from Ma Pi Leng Pass, Nho Que River is like a silk strip winding through towering mountain ranges, with a blue color and extremely poetic beauty.
As one of the outstanding tourist destinations in Ha Giang , you can experience many activities such as: boating, rafting or kayaking right on the Nho Que River and especially Check in, take photos. You can find a corner on the top of the pass looking down, or hire a group of ethnic people to pose on a boat, raft blending into the emerald green water of the Nho Que River, all of which will produce great photos.
9. Tham Ma Slope
Known as one of the most dangerous roads in the North, Doc Tham Ma has a strong attraction, always stimulating the desire to win and conquer from today’s backpackers. Doc Tham Ma is a familiar check-in location, taking a photo as proof, marking a milestone for effort, courage, overcoming all challenges.
Finally, after going through so many difficulties, you will be satisfied by the beautiful scenery of the village floating in the wind. The simple tiled-roof houses, with only earthen walls, appear and disappear in the misty mist, creating a simple yet beautiful scene on Tham Ma Slope.
10. Pao’s House
The name of Pao’s house comes from the movie “Pao’s Story“, which tells the story of a H’Mong girl’s journey to find her mother with the same name, which won the Golden Kite Award and became one of the tourist destinations in Ha Giang.
Phao’s house was built nearly 100 years ago, the roof is still yin-yang tiled roof, after many years it has been covered with moss, ancient. The house is designed in a U shape, in the middle there is a cool garden, coming here you seem to be immersed in the life of the years before, extremely romantic, attracting many tourists.
11. Dong Van Stone Plateau
After passing through 150km of dangerous mountain pass, with a deep abyss on one side and a rocky mountain range on the other, the Dong Van stone plateau will gradually appear, hidden behind the misty fog.
The characteristic of this place is the stone fences – showing the thoughtfulness of the man to his family, the fences are even, the more beautiful the house is, the more solid and trustworthy the pillars are. Interspersed with that is the green color from the corn fields, the yellow color of the rice fields, full of pristine and lyrical beauty.
